We are seeking an experienced Claims Portfolio Manager to join our team at Suncorp Group. As a Senior Claims Officer, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Property Liability claims, ensuring timely and cost-effective outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Claims Management: End-to-end management of Liability claim files, ensuring best practice processes and procedures are maintained.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert for the immediate team in the area of Liability claims, providing technical assistance and advice.
- Service Provider Management: Appoint, instruct, and liaise with service providers, including solicitors, brokers, investigators, and loss adjusters.
- Reserve and Estimate Management: Maintain realistic and adequate reserves/estimates on all claims, closely monitoring significant estimate fluctuations.
- Knowledge Sharing: Actively share knowledge and advise others to build and develop the technical capabilities of the Liability claims team.
- Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in law, business, or insurance (mandatory).
- Industry Qualifications: Diploma in Financial Services (General Insurance) or Diploma in Financial Services (desired).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience managing a portfolio of liability claims, with a clear understanding of Suncorp Group processes, systems, and culture.
