About the Role

This full-time, fixed-term position for 2 years with possible extension is based in Parramatta and requires daily travel to support Australian Apprentices and employers. As a Workplace Mentor at The BUSY Group, you will engage, support, and provide guidance to improve retention rates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with employers and apprentices who may be experiencing difficulties.
  • Formally or informally interact with stakeholders to resolve issues.

The successful candidate will require regular and daily travel to support all relevant stakeholders.

Requirements
  • Qualifications in social work, counselling, or psychology, or currently studying these fields.
  • Formal studies in coaching or mentoring, or willingness to undertake a Diploma of Counselling within the first year.
  • Experience in social sciences, behavioural sciences, youth work, community development, and services.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and communicate with diverse groups and individuals.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills to build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to obtain a Working With Children Check and National Police Check.
