Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to provide expert advice to senior management and external stakeholders regarding port operations, marine safety, and vessel standards. The successful candidate will be accountable for ensuring that the Department is across current national and international developments in maritime safety and their potential implications on our policies and strategic plans.

The role involves providing significant contributions to the management of Memorandum of Understandings, Service Level Agreements, Port Operating Agreements, environmental issues, and vessel standards, promoting the credibility and effectiveness of the Marine Services directorate. Additionally, the role requires effectively developing and implementing high-level operational advice on maritime and navigational safety and marine environmental issues in line with the State's strategic plan for SA waters.
