Minister to Community Aged Care Clients

BaptistCare is seeking an experienced and competent Chaplain to provide quality person-centred spiritual care that respects and values diversity.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Visit clients in their homes and hospitals as appropriate, providing spiritual support in a respectful manner.
    • Design and deliver targeted spiritual care initiatives aligned with professional codes and standards of conduct.
    • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients and colleagues, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
    • Facilitate safe and welcoming spaces for clients to express their needs and concerns.
    • Required Skills and Qualifications:
      • Tertiary qualifications in chaplaincy or pastoral care OR tertiary theological qualifications with a willingness to undertake chaplaincy-specific training within the first 12 months of employment.
      • Ability to demonstrate high Christian spiritual maturity with a pastoral heart, promoting empathy and understanding in client interactions.
      • Active involvement in and recommendation from a local Christian Church, ensuring a strong connection to the community.
      • Chaplaincy or pastoral care experience, with a focus on delivering compassionate care.
      • Experience working in collaborative, multi-disciplinary settings, leveraging diverse perspectives for effective outcomes.
      • Current 'Working with Children Check' and willingness to undergo a police check, upholding integrity and trust.
      • A valid driver's license, enabling convenient travel to client locations.
      • A personal commitment to growth in the Christian faith, aligning with the organization's purpose and values.
