Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Chaplain to provide spiritual and emotional support to our community aged care clients in the Canberra Region. The successful applicant will have a strong Christian faith and be able to demonstrate high levels of spiritual maturity, pastoral heart and ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.

The role involves visiting clients in their homes or hospitals, providing quality person-centred chaplaincy/pastoral care and facilitating safe and welcoming spaces that promote a sense of community and belonging. The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in chaplaincy/pastoral care or equivalent experience and be willing to undertake specific training within the first 12 months of employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide spiritual and emotional support to community aged care clients
  • Facilitate safe and welcoming spaces for clients
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in chaplaincy/pastoral care or equivalent experience
  • Strong Christian faith and demonstrated spiritual maturity
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
