Chaplain Role

This is a permanent part-time role offering flexible work arrangements.

We are seeking an experienced and competent Chaplain to provide spiritual support to community clients in the Canberra Region.


About the Position

The successful applicant will have tertiary qualifications in chaplaincy or equivalent, as well as high Christian spiritual maturity and pastoral heart.

They will also have active involvement in a local Christian Church or chaplaincy experience, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a valid driver's license.

A current 'Working with Children Check' is also required.


Main Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred chaplaincy care to clients in their homes or hospital, consistent with our Purpose and Values.
  • Recognise clients' spiritual needs and design spiritual care initiatives.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with clients and colleagues, and facilitate safe spaces for community belonging.
  • Provide inclusive spiritual care respecting diversity, including age, faith, culture, disability, gender, and sexuality.
