About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at Telstra. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences by activating and assuring telecommunications / technology products and services in the home and/or business.

You will work independently to provide seamless service rectification and product installations, ensuring the full satisfaction of our customers. Your expertise in copper cable maintenance and installation, including fault finding, jointing, jumpering, and networking, will be essential in maintaining our high standards.

Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing Fibre network technology, Core network technology, and Data services. Your ability to work in a diverse team environment and deliver optimum customer and commercial outcomes aligned to our corporate strategy will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver seamless service rectification and product installations
  • Maintenance and management of Fibre network technology, Core network technology, and Data services
  • Copper cable maintenance and installation, including fault finding, jointing, jumpering, and networking
  • Customer Premises Equipment maintenance and installation
  • Fault finding over copper networks in a rural or remote setting

Qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Telecommunications
  • Open cabling license
  • Traffic management qualifications
  • An industry white card

Telstra can support you through offering training on Traffic management and white card certificates.

This role requires the successful candidate to be vaccinated against Covid-19, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our people and customers.
