PhD Opportunity in Offshore Hybrid Renewable Energy Systems

We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to join our cutting-edge research initiative focused on developing an innovative GIS-based spatial decision-support tool for renewable energy system deployment. This project aims to autonomously identify optimal offshore locations for the integration of renewable energy sources, reducing carbon emissions and promoting sustainable energy solutions.

This research is primarily desk-based but will involve meaningful collaboration with leading industry partners, including CSIRO, Pitt & Sherry, and the Blue Economy CRC. The selected candidate will be based at Griffith University's Gold Coast campus and integrated into a dynamic, multidisciplinary research team affiliated with a relevant centre or institute.
