We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled PhD candidate to join our research initiative focused on developing an innovative GIS-based spatial decision-support tool for offshore renewable energy system deployment.
Project OverviewThe project aims to identify optimal offshore locations for renewable energy system deployment using a data-driven approach. This will enable energy planners and system managers to make informed decisions about offshore renewable energy system deployment.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you should have a strong passion for renewable energy, spatial analysis, and GIS. You should also be capable of conducting independent desk-based research and working effectively with academic and industry partners.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct independent, desk-based research to support the development of a GIS-based spatial decision-support tool.
- Collaborate with academic and industry partners to ensure that the tool meets the needs of stakeholders.
- Develop a user-friendly interface for the GIS-based spatial decision-support tool.
