**Job Title:** PhD Scholarship: Offshore Hybrid Renewable Energy Systems

Job Description:

This scholarship offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a spatial decision-support tool for offshore hybrid renewable energy systems. As a PhD candidate, you will work with a multidisciplinary research team to investigate optimal locations for offshore hybrid renewable energy systems.

The successful candidate will be enrolled within Griffith University's School of Engineering & Built Environment and be affiliated with a relevant research centre or institute.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop a GIS-based multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) model for Offshore Hybrid (wind, wave and Solar) Renewable Energy Systems.
  2. Collaborate with industry partners and the Blue Economy CRC to ensure the relevance and effectiveness of the decision-support tool.
  3. Contribute to a research programme within the Blue Economy CRC titled Offshore Renewable Energy Systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

We are seeking a talented and motivated PhD candidate with a strong background in renewable energy, GIS, and decision-making techniques.

Expressions of interest are welcome from domestic and international applicants who have completed, or expect to complete, a bachelors degree with honours equivalent to second/division A class honours or a Masters degree (AQF Level 9) incorporating a significant research component.

Benefits:

The scholarship has an annual stipend of $38,500 (indexed) for a period of up to three and a half years of full-time study.

A successful International applicant will also be awarded a Griffith University International Postgraduate Research Scholarship to cover tuition fees for the same period.
