Job Description:

Couriers play a vital role in the delivery of pathology samples, including urgent specimens, blood products, test results, and clinical waste.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executing routine courier runs, primarily involving the pickup and delivery of pathology samples.
  • Liaising with medical practitioners and the medical liaison officer regarding store orders.
  • Processing, packing, and delivering supplies to medical practitioners as needed.
  • Preparing and delivering reports and maintaining stock control in the main laboratory.
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • A current full (unrestricted) driver's license is required for safe transportation of goods.
  • Previous experience providing exceptional customer service is highly desirable for ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills are essential for prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • The ability to manage a minimum of 30 stops per day physically.
  • Ability to follow instructions and use initiative to make sound decisions.
  • Vaccination against vaccine-preventable diseases, such as Hepatitis B and COVID-19, is mandatory.
