About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will provide expert risk advice to all business units across the Consumer/Retail Bank and the distribution network.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analyse risks, develop strategies, and partner with Consumer Bank heads/seniors

  2. Master risk profiles for designated business units and create effective risk management plans

  3. Conduct thorough reviews of issues, assess inherent & residual risks, and their underlying impacts under current regulatory landscape

  4. Contribute to 2nd Line Operational Risk in projects, initiatives, and embedding to Business as Usual (BAU)

  5. Be a trusted advisor to strengthen risk culture, provide insights on key risks, controls, metrics, and trends

  6. Document findings for management and committee reporting

Skill Requirements:

  1. 5+ years of Operational Risk and/or Compliance experience in Banking & Financial Services

  2. Practical risk advisory and partnering experience with business

  3. Ability to communicate complex operational risk issues to influence senior stakeholders

  4. Basic knowledge of prudential and regulatory environment (APRA, NCCP Responsible Lending, Privacy Act, AUSTRAC)

  5. Ability to manage workload and drive process in matrix working/reporting environment
