Family Accompaniment Specialist

The purpose of this role is to oversee the family support function, leading a team to ensure that support systems and processes align with corporate and contract requirements.

This position is responsible for:

  • Leading Family Liaison Officers (FLOs) and managing related processes for effective oversight.
  • Developing and refining family support frameworks, tools, and processes in line with scheme requirements.
  • Identifying and coordinating training and skill development needs for FLOs and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with Family Accompaniment Coordinators for pre-departure, ongoing support, and reintegration planning.
  • Working with government agencies and local settlement units to establish reintegration arrangements for participating families.
  • Providing updates to the steering committee and responding to emerging risks or opportunities.

We seek an individual with:

  • Tertiary qualifications in social work, human services, social/behavioral sciences, community services, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of case management experience, with a background in migrant settlement or family support programs being advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of case management frameworks and critical incident management.
  • Experience working with Pacific and Timorese communities.
  • Relevant qualifications and/or 5-10 years of experience in employment services or migrant settlement services.
