Job Overview

The Technical Support Specialist plays a crucial role in providing immediate access to end-users for hardware and software support, adhering to documented procedures for resolution and escalation of incidents. This individual retains ownership of customer issues until resolved, escalated or accepted by another team member.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for walk-up end users on hardware and software-related issues
  • Follow documented procedures for resolution and escalation of incidents
  • Retain ownership of customer issues until resolved or escalated
  • Support Authorized Users with required assistance on IT-related questions
  • Maintain an accurate asset register at all times
  • Generate reports on interactions and resolved issues
  • Treat every client as a VIP, strengthening relationships and engaging users who might disengage from IT services
  • Adhere to Service Level Agreement response and resolution time requirements
  • Escalate unresolved issues via the appropriate path in a timely manner
  • Comply with Customer and technical change management policy and processes

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years experience with troubleshooting end-user issues in a corporate environment
  • Printer and Audio-visual support experience, including Crestron device management
  • ITIL v3 MCITP/MCTS or relevant technical qualifications
