We are seeking a skilled professional to join our specialist early intervention services team in the provision of support to adolescent and adult victims of sexual assault and their non-offending family members.

About the Role
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing referrals to the sexual assault service, providing specialist intervention services, and collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist intervention services to adolescent and adult victims of sexual assault and their non-offending family members.
  • Manage referrals to the sexual assault service, working closely with clients, families, and other agencies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure comprehensive and coordinated support for clients.
Selection Criteria
  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or related field.
  • Registration or association membership eligibility.
  • Demonstrated experience in complex trauma and trauma-informed practice, preferably within a Violence, Abuse & Neglect setting.
  • Assessment and case management skills with children, young people, and adults.
  • Understanding of interrelated dynamics and effects of sexual assault, physical abuse, neglect, and domestic violence.
  • Commitment to integrated models for working with clients who have experienced trauma and abuse.
  • Cultural safety principles and experience in providing culturally responsive services.
  • Interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, as well as collaboration and partnership skills.
