
Trauma Informed Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our specialist early intervention services team in the provision of support to adolescent and adult victims of sexual assault and their non-offending family members.
About the Role- The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing referrals to the sexual assault service, providing specialist intervention services, and collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders.

- Provide specialist intervention services to adolescent and adult victims of sexual assault and their non-offending family members.
- Manage referrals to the sexual assault service, working closely with clients, families, and other agencies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure comprehensive and coordinated support for clients.
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or related field.
- Registration or association membership eligibility.
- Demonstrated experience in complex trauma and trauma-informed practice, preferably within a Violence, Abuse & Neglect setting.
- Assessment and case management skills with children, young people, and adults.
- Understanding of interrelated dynamics and effects of sexual assault, physical abuse, neglect, and domestic violence.
- Commitment to integrated models for working with clients who have experienced trauma and abuse.
- Cultural safety principles and experience in providing culturally responsive services.
- Interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, as well as collaboration and partnership skills.
