This is an exciting opportunity to join our organization as a Nurse Unit Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the care experience for our residents. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of person-centered care, managing staff, and overseeing care planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resident Care: Ensure the delivery of high-quality, resident-focused care that addresses their unique medical, physical, and emotional needs.
- Staff Supervision: Manage and lead a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, caregivers, and support staff.
- Care Planning: Oversee the development and implementation of individualized care plans that consider each resident's health requirements and preferences.
- Medication Management: Ensure proper administration and management of medications for residents, adhering to prescribed schedules and protocols.
- Family Communication: Communicate effectively with residents' families or legal guardians, providing updates on their loved one's condition and involving them in care decisions when appropriate.
Requirements:
- Current AHPRA Registration.
- ICL Qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Aged Care as a Registered Nurse.
- Knowledge of Aged Care accreditation standards.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience with ANNAC.
- Expertise in medication administration and wound care with a commitment to ongoing clinical excellence.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- An outstanding proficiency in care planning, goal setting, and evaluation documentation.
- Capability to effectively lead and manage a team.
