Operations Excellence Manager Role:

We seek an accomplished leader to spearhead our daily operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transport and logistics, with experience managing teams during regular working hours and providing vital coverage for absences.

This key role involves leading our Adelaide depot team, where you'll play a crucial part in developing and implementing efficient load planning strategies to maximise productivity and reduce cross-dock delays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective load planning strategies to optimise efficiency and reduce cross-docking.
  • Manage and allocate daily tasks among a team of 10+ drivers.
  • Coordinate with workshop teams to proactively plan equipment maintenance.
  • Liaise with customers and warehouse partners via email and phone.
  • Oversee warehouse and yard operations, including returns and rejected loads.
  • Manage cross-dock functions and ensure system data accuracy.
  • Proactively address transport issues to minimise delays and ensure customer expectations are met.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Operations Supervisor in the transport or logistics sector.
  • Strong computer literacy, with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and exposure to transport management systems.
  • Ability to work autonomously with high levels of accountability.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Proven ability to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines.
  • A client-focused mindset with the drive to exceed expectations.
