Starship Controls Engineer

We are seeking an experienced controls engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of advanced automation systems for our Starship program. As a controls engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing complex control systems that enable the efficient and reliable operation of our spacecraft.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing control systems for industrial equipment such as robots, gantries, and conveyors
  • Developing and deploying PLC code to automate manufacturing processes
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate control systems into overall production workflows
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations such as ANSI/RIA15.06 and OSHA

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
  • 5+ years experience in design and commissioning of automation and controls systems for industrial applications
  • Strong understanding of PLC programming and control system architecture
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
