Your Role

This role will assist the Financial Lines team in delivering high-quality client service. You'll have the opportunity to own policy files and support Underwriters throughout the entire process.

  • You'll correspond with brokers, coordinate placements, handle policy queries, and work with Underwriters to prepare quotes for new business and renewals.
  • You'll be responsible for issuing policy documentation directly to brokers within set service level agreements.
Your Responsibilities:

As an Insurance Policy Coordinator, you'll play a crucial role in processing complex business and providing exceptional customer service.

  • Ensure timely registrations and high-quality standards for bookings.
  • Act as the first point of contact for complex business processing.
  • Review new business submissions to identify cross-selling opportunities and determine quotes based on Chubb's appetite and underwriting review.
  • Prepare Underwriting files for Renewal and New Business, including data input, market research, raters, referral write-ups, and quote production.
  • Liaise with brokers on coverage and pricing inquiries.
  • Coordinate with internal departments for credit control, claims, and risk information.
  • Chase outstanding binding instructions or subjectivities from brokers.
  • Assist in placement coordination, including submission review, local coverage requirements, and risk premium calculations.
  • Quote and bind endorsements according to underwriting guidelines and manage nil premium amendments.
  • Reconcile aged finance items and ensure Underwriting files are complete and compliant.
  • Manage policy tracking and workflow tools to reflect policy status accurately.
  • Support business processing tool development by acting as a Subject Matter Expert and assisting in requirements gathering and User Acceptance Testing.
  • Perform other duties allocated by your Manager.
Skills & Experience:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 1+ years of experience in the Insurance Industry.
  • Excellent computer literacy.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-resolution and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain good working relationships.
  • Experience working to tight deadlines/SLA's is desirable.
  • Pro-active involvement with department objectives and service levels.
  • A collegial and constructive approach to working with colleagues within a team environment.
  • Well-developed analytical and organisational skills.
