Job Title: Intake Coordinator

About the Position
This role is a crucial point of contact for clients seeking support. You will conduct face-to-face and telephone assessments to triage, evaluate, and support women affected by Domestic, Family, and Sexual Violence.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop action plans to address identified needs.
  • Screen and assess client needs via phone and online inquiries, prioritize cases, and schedule follow-up appointments.
  • Identify clients in crisis and coordinate immediate interventions or referrals.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clients receive a coordinated support experience.
  • Serve as an advocate for clients and foster positive relationships with other agencies and services.
  • Maintain up-to-date and confidential records of client assessments.
  • Participate in team activities, including training and development opportunities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in health, social sciences, community services, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years' experience in conducting intake assessments and supporting women who have experienced trauma.
  • Comprehensive understanding of evidence-based practices for Domestic, Family, and Sexual Violence.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle confidential information empathetically.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant client management software.
