Job Title

A unique and exciting opportunity exists to join our organisation as a Sarc Triage and Administrative Officer.

This challenging role requires the successful candidate to coordinate intake and triage services at the Safe and Respectful Communities (SARC) team.

The ideal applicant will possess excellent administrative skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for supporting students who have experienced violence, abuse, or harassment.

About the Role

This position is responsible for conducting intake processes, assessing risk and safety, de-escalating situations, and ensuring appropriate, trauma-informed support is provided to students in need.

The Sarc Triage and Administrative Officer will also provide administrative support to the broader SARC team, including preparing resources, maintaining accurate records and data entry, and assisting with general admin and project-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate intake and triage services at the SARC team
  • Support students who have experienced violence, abuse, or harassment
  • Liaise with SARC Coordinators to allocate cases and arrange urgent appointments with counselling or security services when necessary
  • Perform administrative duties such as preparing resources, maintaining accurate records and data entry
Selection Criteria
  1. Hold an unrestricted NSW Drivers Licence, own or have access to a motor vehicle to enable travel between UOW onshore campuses.
  2. Hold a current Working with Children Check.
