About Our Service

This role is a vital part of our service delivery, where you'll work with clients who have experienced Domestic, Family, and Sexual Violence.

You will conduct thorough risk assessments, develop action plans, and guide clients to appropriate resources and services in a trauma-sensitive and culturally respectful manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct risk assessments, including suicide and violence risk evaluations, and develop action plans.
  • Screen and assess client needs via phone and online inquiries, prioritize cases, and schedule follow-up appointments.
  • Identify clients in crisis and coordinate immediate interventions or referrals.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clients receive a coordinated support experience.
  • Serve as an advocate for clients, fostering positive relationships with other agencies and support services.
  • Maintain up-to-date and confidential records of client assessments.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in health, social sciences, community services, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years' experience in conducting intake assessments, triaging cases, and supporting women who have experienced trauma.
  • Comprehensive understanding of evidence-based practices for Domestic, Family, and Sexual Violence.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle confidential information empathetically.
