About the RoleAs the Health and Safety Strategy Risk Manager, you will oversee enterprise-wide occupational health and safety risk, support business units in managing their operational risks, and ensure these efforts aggregate into a cohesive and mature risk profile.
A key focus will be supporting the enhancement of our risk management system, helping to embed structured risk management practices across the organization. You will also play a role in monitoring the execution of our H&S strategy, identifying future priorities, and benchmarking best practices from across the industry.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee enterprise-wide occupational health and safety risk and develop strategies to mitigate and manage risks.
- Support business units in managing their operational risks and ensure that risk efforts aggregate into a cohesive and mature risk profile.
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of our Occupational Health and Safety management system, ensuring it remains user-friendly, certified, and fit for purpose.
- Support the enhancement of our risk management system and help embed structured risk management practices across the organization.
- Monitor the execution of our H&S strategy, identify future priorities, and benchmark best practices from across the industry.
- Significant experience in a senior health and safety role within utilities, infrastructure, services, or a similar industry.
- Demonstrated experience in leading cultural change and implementing user-focused occupational health and safety systems.
- Strong knowledge of risk-based health and safety systems, assurance programs, and critical risk management.
- Proven ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders, from senior leaders to field workers.
- Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety, Environment, or a related field (preferred).
- Additional qualifications in Risk Management, Project Management, or Change Management (desirable).
- A solid understanding of Australian OHS legislative frameworks.
