Job Title: Research Officer - Paediatric Asthma Program

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Officer to join our team in the Paediatric Asthma Program. The successful candidate will provide technical and research assistance to senior research staff in activities associated with various research projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of research projects, including preparing human research ethics applications.
  • Provide high-level administrative support to senior research staff, including coordinating meetings, managing databases, and preparing reports.
  • Collaborate with researchers and other stakeholders to develop and implement research protocols, including qualitative health and mixed methods research.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with various stakeholders, including researchers, clinicians, and community groups.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of research dissemination strategies, including publications and presentations.
Requirements:
  • A university master's degree in public health, health services research, medical humanities, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated research experience, including experience in preparing human research ethics applications.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and diplomacy skills, and a demonstrated ability to build relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Highly developed organisational skills and demonstrated ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated computer skills, including spreadsheets, database programs, statistics, and word processing.
  • Ability to work independently, show initiative, and work productively as part of a team.
