Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to join our clinical management team at headspace Wollongong. The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership and support to our team members, working with young people to identify their support needs, goals, and develop collaborative care plans.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop clinical leadership skills and provide support as part of the clinical management team
- Work with young people to identify their support needs, goals, and develop collaborative care plans
- Collaborate with the Service Manager, Clinical Lead, and external stakeholders to develop person-centred, recovery-focused, evidence-based services that achieve positive outcomes for young people and their families
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of two years post-graduate experience in mental health service and hold full AHPRA registration as a Clinical Psychologist, Registered Psychologist, or Occupational Therapist (and eligible for mental health accreditation with OTA) or be a Social Worker holding an approved Social Work Qualification and be eligible for mental health accreditation with AASW
- Experience in assessment of mental health disorders, and provision of Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy and other evidence-based focused psychological strategies
- Experience working with young people and their families or carers in a family inclusive practice model
- Demonstrated understanding of key issues in relation to the health and wellbeing needs of young people with mental health and/or substance use problems including the ability to effectively engage with young people and their family, friends or carers
