CatholicCare Wollongong is a multi-service agency committed to supporting the well-being of children, young people, and families in the Illawarra Diocese.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader to join our Illawarra SSFP team. As a permanent, full-time position located in the Illawarra, you will lead a team of dedicated school counsellors, ensuring the delivery of high-quality support services for students, their families, and the school community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of skilled counsellors and practitioners, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and continuous improvement
  • Oversee the delivery of mental health and well-being services to ensure high standards and alignment with CatholicCare's values and mission
  • Collaborate with school principals, stakeholders, and community partners to understand needs, promote services, and strengthen partnerships
  • Conduct regular supervision, performance reviews, and professional development sessions with team members to ensure effective service delivery
  • Manage case allocation, monitor workloads, and provide guidance on complex cases as needed
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, regulations, and best practices in school-based mental health and family services
  • Support continuous improvement by monitoring program outcomes and contributing to program development
  • Collaborate with senior management on strategic initiatives, reporting, and service enhancement
