Job Title: Strategic Procurement Lead

We seek an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to drive procurement excellence and business growth in a leading civil construction company.

  • Provide strategic advice and recommendations to senior management on procurement strategies, leveraging industry best practices.
  • Develop and implement effective procurement processes to meet organisational needs, improving efficiency and driving innovation.
  • Maintain the principles of procurement probity, ensuring transparency and fairness in all dealings.
  • Assess requirements for formal contracts with major suppliers, promoting cost savings and value-based solutions.
  • Review spend reporting and market engagement opportunities to drive cost reductions, supporting business objectives.
  • Develop strong supplier relationships to support business goals, fostering collaboration and mutual benefit.
  • Lead Modern Slavery compliance activities, ensuring ethical standards are upheld.
  • Promote a positive working relationship with stakeholders, enhancing overall team performance.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary Qualifications (Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field) and Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management.
  • Minimum of 8 years in a procurement or supply chain role, demonstrating commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
  • High level of negotiation and communication skills, enabling effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Previous experience working across different cultures, maintaining key relationships, and driving business outcomes.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, supporting productivity and efficiency.
