About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef Manager to join our team at VMCH. As a key member of our food services team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality food to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service.
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety laws and regulations, as well as occupational health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and high resident satisfaction.
  • Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and supplies.
Requirements
  • Certificate IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or higher.
  • Food Safety Supervisor Training (Health & Community) - HLTFSE001, HLTFSE005, and HLTFSE007.
  • Experience working in a food services environment and in the supervision of staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, employees, and volunteers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to customer service.
  • Well-developed prioritization and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and operate with discretion.
