Claim Specialist Role Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Claim Specialist, where you will be responsible for managing claims end-to-end using your expertise to deliver the best outcomes for customers. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of property claims legislation and best practice, as well as experience in managing SME insurance claims.

About the Job

Job Description:

  • Manage 80-100 SME property claims end-to-end, ensuring timely resolutions and strong financial outcomes.
  • Investigate and adjust complex claims primarily related to property.
  • Maintain strong relationships with brokers, builders, and adjusters.
  • Set accurate reserves and ensure full regulatory compliance.
  • Proactively manage risks and seek ongoing improvements.
  • Follow all health and safety policies and promote a safe work environment.
  • Support and embed a strong risk culture across the team.

Requirements:

  • Degree preferred but not essential.
  • 5+ years of experience managing SME insurance claims.
  • Strong knowledge of property claims legislation and best practice.
  • Solid understanding of general insurance and broker relationships.
  • Solutions-focused with sound commercial judgment.
  • Proven customer service skills in complex environments.
  • Self-motivated with strong time management and organization skills.
