This is a highly competitive and rewarding role for individuals seeking to advance their skills in General Surgery.
The successful candidate will be involved in the daily care of acute surgical patients, including emergency operating theatre duties.
The Breast Surgery Fellow role primarily focuses on Breast Clinic, MDT, and Breast & Endocrine Surgery operating lists.
This opportunity provides a chance to participate in a 24-hour on-call roster as the first point of contact, supported by a rostered-on call consultant.
Key requirements include excellent communication skills, a commitment to ongoing educational activities, and sound theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
A medical practitioner in General Surgery must also demonstrate ethical behaviour, compliance with contemporary human resource management practices, and adherence to workplace health and safety policies.
Required qualifications include fellowship in General Surgery with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) or equivalent recognition, MBBS or equivalent registrable qualification with the Medical Board of Australia, Specialist Registration in General Surgery with the Medical Board of Australia, and vaccination against certain vaccine-preventable diseases.
