About this role

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior leader to drive commercial growth and value creation across a national row-crop portfolio.

The successful candidate will lead the commercial function, partnering closely with operations and farm managers to challenge assumptions, shape capital allocation, and deliver clear, actionable insights linking operational choices to financial performance and long-term value.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute disciplined capital allocation strategies aligned to the corporate plan.
  • Oversee commodity marketing and risk management functions, drive pricing strategy with the use of internal and external advisors.
  • Provide scenario analysis, benchmarked performance reporting, and forward forecasts that link paddock decisions to financial and capital outcomes.
  • Align farm plans to top-quartile benchmarks in efficiency, productivity, people engagement, and carbon emissions.
  • Lead a data-first architecture that protects IP and enables credible, high-quality decision-making in the paddock.
  • Champion metrics that measure operational excellence and return on invested capital.
  • Ensure robust governance and reporting.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 10 years' senior leadership experience in commercial or finance within a production environment.
  • Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary teams; strong planning, analytical, and problem-solving capability.
  • Depth in capital-intensive settings and commercial negotiation for high-value asset procurement; strength in managing strategic supplier and customer relationships.
