Job Summary

This is a senior legal role that requires a seasoned commercial lawyer with a strong front-end construction focus. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, a self-starter attitude, and the ability to thrive working independently and with confidence.

The Senior Legal Counsel will collaborate with clients across a broad range of construction-focused matters, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements. They will provide clear, practical legal advice to business leaders, manage legal risk, operate independently, and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements
  • Providing clear, practical legal advice to business leaders
  • Managing legal risk across procurement, supply chains, and contract frameworks
  • Operating independently and managing relationships with multiple stakeholders

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of PQE, ideally with in-house experience already under their belt, extensive front-end construction experience, particularly in infrastructure and/or mining services. They will also have a practical mindset and the ability to deliver advice that balances legal risk with commercial outcomes.

What We Offer:

We are open to a part-time arrangement (4 days/week) for the right candidate and offer the opportunity to work 100% remote from anywhere in Australia or base yourself out of one of our beautiful offices.
