This permanent full-time position is based in our Ballarat campus, supporting quality, safe systems and improvement activities across Grampians Health. As a key member of our team, you will promote a culture of safety and excellence within our organisation.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual with a strong passion for delivering high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert guidance on risk management frameworks to operational directorates and executive staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor the risk management framework in line with regulatory requirements and participate in periodic reviews.
- Lead incident investigations and thematic reviews, ensuring timely reports align with established policies.
- Support clinical investigations and legislative compliance to drive quality improvements.
- Apply expertise in systems thinking, operational excellence, change management, and data analytics to enhance governance and quality practices.
- Manage the GH Risk Register and educate staff on effective risk management practices.
- Provide training and support for staff on the GH Incident Management database and promote compliance with regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A degree in a health-related field is preferred but not essential; AHPRA registration is required if applicable.
- Postgraduate qualifications in quality, risk management, or improvement can be advantageous.
- Familiarity with safety analysis tools like Root Cause Analysis and the London Protocol can be beneficial.
- Proven ability to coach and manage organisational change effectively.
- Experience in developing and delivering education and training in a healthcare context.
Compensation Package:
The estimated annual salary for this position is $93,000 - $118,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
