Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our Club Millésime team at Sofitel Adelaide. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, supervising the operations of Club Millésime and Room Service, and ensuring that all hotel and department policies and procedures are followed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Service
    • Provide warm and engaging service to all guests from arrival to departure
    • Greet and respond to requests for all VIP guests, providing exceptional service at every step of the journey
  • Operations
    • Supervise and support the operations of Club Millésime and Room Service
    • Ensure that all hotel and department policies and procedures are understood by ambassadors
  • Product Knowledge
    • Maintain product knowledge of all menus and wine lists in order to advise and make recommendations to guests
  • Upselling and Cross-Selling
    • Proudly promote the hotel facilities, looking for opportunities to enhance a guest's stay through up-selling
  • Problem-Solving
    • Handle guest concerns and react quickly, tracking and notifying proper areas to guarantee memorable moments for our guests
  • Pre-Arrival Communications
    • Conduct pre-arrival communications providing local knowledge and advice
  • Team Leadership
    • Anticipate guests' needs and promote various hotel services
    • Champion return guest recognition program, driving personalized service in line with our Heartist principles

Requirements

  • Experience
    • Previous experience in a similar role, with confidence in all aspects of VIP club and Room Service operations
  • Skills
    • Effective communication, time management, and problem-solving capabilities
    • Prior experience working with Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and Opera or a related PMS system
    • Strong service skills, with confidence in all aspects of service
    • Availability across a variety of shifts, including breakfast and night shifts, across week days, weekends, and public holidays
    • Positive and enthusiastic attitude towards all areas of work
    • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities and the ability to lead by example
    • Valid South Australian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
    • Full Australian working rights
