Optimizing Process Performance Engineer

We seek a skilled Process Systems Engineer to optimize process performance, prevent operational delays and minimize lifecycle costs.
Responsibilities:- Design, improve and optimize engineering solutions to enhance process control system performance.
- Review and improve process control strategies.
- PID loop tuning on complex systems.
- Alarm rationalization.
- Update and test control system software, firmware and patches.
- Configure and maintain the process control system and related infrastructure.
- Implement changes according to management of change processes.
- Configure and commission VSDs, DOLs, network switches, instrumentation and other equipment.
- Analyze assets and predict maintenance requirements.
- Identify and assess risks using enterprise risk framework policies and procedures.
- Assist in fault finding and failure investigations.
- Tertiary Engineering degree with professional experience in process control and instrumentation.
- Good understanding of distributed control systems and control system architectures.
- Extensive experience with PLC & SCADA programming.
- Demonstrated ability to understand control philosophies and configure the control system.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process control and instrumentation, excellent analytical skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
