Plant Engineer

Our team is seeking an experienced Process Optimization Specialist to join our Production department in Kwinana, Western Australia.

  • Ensure plant operations are running at optimal levels by analyzing and improving processes, implementing new technologies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with operators, technicians, and engineers to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that drive safety, productivity, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Conduct regular plant audits, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies, and Risk Assessments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of chemical processing principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They should also be able to communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive process improvements through data analysis, experimentation, and implementation.
  • Develop and execute projects aimed at increasing plant efficiency, productivity, and safety.
  • Collaborate with production staff to ensure smooth operation of the plant.
  • Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, and Risk Assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of chemical processing principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
