About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team and play a key role in implementing, monitoring, and governing SHEQ programs, systems, and processes for the AGFMA contract.

The successful candidate will act as the key interface between the SHEQ Manager and operational delivery, contributing to the development and execution of broader company strategies, initiatives, programs, and leading Health and Safety practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement the project Health and Safety objectives at Agency and site level.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of broader company strategies, initiatives, programs, and leading Health and Safety practices.
  • Working collaboratively across the contract, implement the Health and Safety management plans, emergency response, and business continuity planning.
  • Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices to ensure compliance with Ventia's Health and Safety Management System, Legislative, and other requirements.
  • Lead and manage ICAM and Serious Incident investigations and drive learnings into the site and wider business as required.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with a large contractor workforce, utilizing your strong communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration and consultation. Your experience in leading investigations, audits, and process implementation will be highly valued.

We are looking for someone with a Certificate IV in WHS, Lead Investigator training – ICAM, and Lead Auditor qualification (highly regarded). A current Driver's Licence is also essential. In addition, you should possess sound knowledge and understanding of legislation, standards, and codes of practice, as well as demonstrated experience leading investigations and undertaking audits.

About You
  • Certificate IV in WHS (required).
  • Lead Investigator training – ICAM (required).
  • Lead Auditor qualification (highly regarded).
  • Current Driver's Licence.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of legislation, standards, and codes of practice.
  • Demonstrated experience leading investigations and undertaking audits.
