The estimated salary for this position is around $150,000 - $200,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description

As the General Manager of TerraCycle Australia & New Zealand, you will be responsible for driving business growth and development in the region. This includes overseeing all aspects of the business, such as vision-setting, team management, brand management, retail operations, and budgeting.

You will work closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to develop and implement strategic plans that align with the company's overall goals. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Owning the P&L responsibility for the region, including managing the regional budget and setting financial targets;
  • Managing and coaching direct reports, inspiring high performance and results;
  • Developing and implementing regional vision and strategy, and facilitating collaboration among departments and lines of business;
  • Cultivating an environment that promotes great performance and positive morale;
  • Representing the company in front of strategic partners, clients, investors, and media;
  • Identifying current and potential brand partners to sell/grow Terra Cycle collection and recycling programs across lines of business regionally;
  • Driving productivity and efficiency of product operations;
  • Understanding company and regional operational processes and strategies for storage and recycling;
  • Directly and persuasively communicating regional Company updates and needs to the C-suite;
  • Championing the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of a range of organizational management practices and tools to ensure Company optimization;

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 15+ years' experience in agency, CPG, or retail;
  • 10+ years' experience in a senior management position;
  • Ability to build consensus and relationships among executives, partners, and employees;
  • Exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving, and prioritization skills;
  • Ability to set matrixed strategies while also being adaptable to change;
  • Strong listening and cross-functional collaboration skills across all levels;
  • Proven ability to execute complex projects and negotiations;
  • Timeline-driven with a strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines;
  • Proven record of managing large, diverse teams;
  • Inspirational public speaking skills and educated believer in sustainability;
  • Comfort and experience working in an entrepreneurial environment where innovation is key to success;
