About the Role

The Law Society of NSW is seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to join our Membership & Engagement team as an Administration Assistant.

This is a full-time permanent position that requires a strong administrative background and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event and Calendar Management: Maintain and organize the student and NSW Young Lawyers event and social calendars, ensuring seamless execution and timely communication.
  • Meeting and Event Coordination: Coordinate meeting and event communications, invitations, and bookings, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and engaged.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support for the Law Society of NSW Students & Early Career Lawyers team, including maintaining digital files and folders, and collating statistical data on events and meetings.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Respond to general queries received through the NSW Young Lawyers and Student Services channels, providing exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Database Management: Assist with the management of the student member database and contact information, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date records.
  • Volunteer and External Body Management: Maintain and update contact information and databases for NSW Young Lawyers volunteers and external bodies, as required.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Monitor and coordinate all relevant collateral, and create reports on events and meetings to assist with decision-making.
Requirements
  • Administrative Experience: 1-2 years of administration experience, with a strong understanding of administrative procedures and protocols.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to quickly learn new software and systems.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail, with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
