Job Overview

The Administration Coordinator will provide administrative support to the synagogue's office team and clergy, focusing on Shabbat and Festival coordination, general administration, event coordination, and marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Shabbat and Festival events, ensuring smooth execution and timely completion.
  • Provide general administrative support, including data entry, correspondence, and record-keeping.
  • Assist with event planning, coordination, and execution, including venue setup, catering, and logistics.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the synagogue's events and programs.
  • Collaborate with the office team and clergy to achieve administrative goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with a diverse congregation.
  • Highly organized and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with deadlines.
  • Self-starting and creative problem-solving skills, with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with Jewish rituals, customs, and holiday celebrations, or a willingness to learn.
  • At least one year of experience in marketing or office administration, with knowledge of computer and web-based systems and social media.
  • Experience with volunteer and event management, with a strong sense of humor and ability to work well under time pressure.
