About the RoleWe are currently looking for a Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our Clinical Services team in Wagga Wagga on a permanent part-time basis, working 3 days per week. As a key constituent of a multidisciplinary clinical services team, you will be responsible for designing, delivering, monitoring, and evaluating behaviour support services to families, children, young people, and adults with disabilities and therapeutic needs.
Key Responsibilities- Demonstrate a commitment to the safety of children, young people, and people with a disability.
- Provide specialist intervention behaviour support and a range of appropriate services under the NDIS.
- Utilise data collection tools, collate information, analyse, and prepare reports for relevant stakeholders.
- Work effectively with participants, families, Local Area Coordinators, NDIS, the Office of the Public Guardian, and other government agencies and specialist support services.
- Must have a tertiary qualification in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, nursing, or another relevant clinical field.
- Hold current registration with AHPRA where required or eligibility for registration with the relevant state body.
- Have knowledge of positive behaviour support principles, including functional behaviour assessment, intervention, and service delivery practices, as well as Restrictive Practice Authorisation processes.
- Demonstrate experience working within clinical governance, quality improvement, and risk management frameworks.
- Be knowledgeable about strengths-based practice, family, and person-centred approaches.
