Accounts Payable Manager - Construction

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable Manager to lead our AP function in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounts payable leadership, with a strong working knowledge of Jobpac.

This is a mid-senior level position that requires the ability to drive efficiencies, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure financial integrity. You will be responsible for overseeing invoice processing, reconciliations, supplier payments, and reporting.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of process improvement and stakeholder management. They will also possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable function across multiple projects
  • Oversee invoice processing, reconciliations, supplier payments, and reporting
  • Drive efficiencies by reviewing and improving AP systems, processes, and controls
  • Manage a small team, providing coaching and leadership to ensure high performance
  • Partner with Project Managers, Site Teams, and Finance on payment schedules and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, tax requirements, and construction industry standards
  • Manage month-end closing processes relating to AP and support broader finance deliverables

Requirements:

  • Proven Accounts Payable leadership experience within construction, property development, or engineering
  • Strong working knowledge of Jobpac (essential)
  • A proactive approach to process improvement and stakeholder management
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage high-volume environments
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across the business
