Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Wildlife Attendant to join our team at Dreamworld, one of the largest native wildlife parks in Southeast Queensland. As a Wildlife Attendant, you will be responsible for caring for and maintaining our native Australian wildlife collection, including daily food preparation, cleaning, and general animal husbandry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute food to animals
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment for animals
  • Assist with animal handling and husbandry tasks
  • Record keeping and data entry

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with Australian wildlife
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • High level of physical fitness to perform physically demanding work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Animal husbandry qualifications or progressive study towards a Certificate in Wildlife and Exhibited Animals
  • Experience with animal handling and husbandry
  • Good general knowledge of Australian native fauna

Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding role that involves animal husbandry tasks and manual handling. A high level of energy and physical fitness is required to perform manual handling tasks and physically demanding work. A 7-day roster is required, including weekend work.
