Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic individual to join our Life Sciences department as a Koala Fodder Specialist. In this full-time role, you will have the opportunity to utilise your horticulture skills in a unique outdoor environment dedicated to conservation and fun

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Cut suitable koala and tree kangaroo fodder from plantations to sustain growing populations
  • Perform general maintenance tasks such as leaf cutting, planting, fertilising, watering, slashing, and animal husbandry duties

 

Requirements

  • Possess high level of energy and physical fitness for demanding work
  • Be willing to work outdoors in bushland environment and varied weather conditions
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Show self-motivation, reliability, and ability to work independently
  • Hold current Apply First Aid qualification
  • Hold current QLD Manual Drivers Licence and 4-wheel drive operation capability

 

Desirable Qualifications

  • Previous experience in similar environments (farming, nursery, grounds, or basic plantation maintenance) or tertiary qualifications in sciences (particularly horticulture)
  • Flexibility with working hours across 7-day roster, including weekend work and early mornings
