Job Opportunity for a Social Worker

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Social Worker to join our team.

This is a temporary leave relief position until June 2026 with the possibility of extension, providing an opportunity to gain valuable experience and skills in delivering high quality care.

The successful candidate will work in partnership with Aboriginal Heath Workers and other health professionals to deliver culturally safe care to Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander families in the Shoalhaven with a trauma informed lens.

  • Key responsibilities include:
  • Delivering culturally safe care;
  • Working in partnership with Aboriginal Heath Workers and other health professionals;

In order to be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Social Work degree and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW);
  • A valid NSW Drivers Licence;
  • Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role;
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC).

As a valued member of our team, you can expect ongoing support from the ISLHD Head of Department for Social Work, as well as peer support from the Division of Kids & Families Social Work network.
