Salary: $56.68 – $58.52 per hour + 12% super & salary packaging

Join the Shoalhaven Binji & Boori Service as a qualified Social Worker. You will have experience in managing families with complex health needs and strong skills in communication and engagement with families, staff, and other services. We value collaboration, proactivity, reliability, and flexibility. The successful candidate will have a sound understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal families such as intergenerational trauma and policies to improve outcomes for Aboriginal families, eg. Closing the Gap. Additionally, you will need experience with the First 2000 Days initiative.

• Work in partnership with Aboriginal Health Workers and other health professionals to deliver high quality care.
• Engage with families and other services to support complex health and social needs.
• Contribute to maintaining a healthy workplace culture and ongoing professional support structures (ISLHD Head of Department for Social Work and peer support via the Division of Kids & Families Social Work network).
• Provide trauma-informed and culturally safe care within the Shoalhaven Binji & Boori context.

Shoalhaven AMICHS, Binji & Boori is part of the Division of Kids & Families and collaborates with the Illawarra Binji & Boori team. You will work in partnership with Aboriginal Health Workers and other health professionals to deliver high quality care while actively contributing to a healthy workplace culture. Ongoing support is available through ISLHD leadership and peer networks, recognizing the potential for exposure to trauma when working with families with complex health and social issues.
