
Family Violence Crisis Response Specialist

This role is part of a specialist program to families and individuals who are experiencing and recovering from family violence, modern slavery and forced marriage.
We work towards a community which is safe and free from violence and challenges systemic gendered attitudes.
Your Key Responsibilities- Provide clients with a welcoming and responsive initial contact.
- Support clients to ensure that urgent and immediate needs are addressed.
- Conduct risk assessments and ongoing safety management.
- Assist in assessing and addressing client issues, needs and circumstances.
- Establish effective relationships with clients that encourage self-determination, participation and support them to meet their goals.
- Help clients to access support services.
- Support the general needs of a crisis accommodation service.
- Collaborate with Case Managers and clients to progress in their case plans.
- Cert III Community Studies or equivalent qualification.
- Relevant experience in a social service environment.
- Trauma and Domestic Violence Informed Practice.
- Person Centred, Strength Based approach.
- A valid driver's licence.
- Relevant state Working with Children Check.
- A willingness to undergo a National Police Check.
