We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our Women's Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service.
About the Role:
As a Domestic and Family Violence Specialist Worker, you will provide high-level advice to ensure that our service is relevant, accessible, and responsive to women and their children who have experienced or are at risk of domestic violence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accepting referrals from government agencies and non-government services
- Assisting with policy development and administration
- Providing timely support to clients, conducting threat assessments, and undertaking safety planning
- Attending court to provide information, assistance, and advocacy to clients
- Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with partners to facilitate client access to services
Requirements:
- Understanding of domestic and family violence, its complexities, and consequences
- Knowledge of the criminal justice response to domestic violence
- Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with clients in crisis and provide trauma-informed support
- Ability to deliver services in accordance with our service delivery model
- National Criminal History Check and Working with Children's Check
- Current NSW Driver's License and access to an insured vehicle
