This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the fairness and accuracy of our healthcare system by reviewing complex cases, advising on medical procedures, and making informed decisions.
About the RoleThe Healthcare Integrity team tackles intricate medical reviews that safeguard the fairness and accuracy of our healthcare system. This is a highly skilled and collaborative team that works together to achieve its goals.
- Review medical audits and advise on cases
- Make informed decisions based on clinical experience
The team includes a Senior Director, an Audit Manager, two audit team leads, seven senior auditors, and two administrative staff, and works closely with medical consultants, inspectors, legal counsel, data analysts, and others across the ministry.
Qualifications:- Medical Doctor (M.D.) or equivalent degree
- Licensed or eligible to be licensed by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC)
- At least 5 years' clinical experience within the last 7 years
- In good standing with licensing bodies
Prior experience in handling sensitive situations, government administration, research, and data analysis are considered assets.
