We are seeking an experienced Medical Consultant to join our team in a key role that requires a high level of clinical expertise and collaboration with various stakeholders.

Job Summary:

The Medical Consultant will be responsible for reviewing audits, advising on cases, and guiding important decisions to ensure fair and accurate billing across the healthcare system. This role requires strong clinical knowledge, tact, and diplomacy when handling sensitive situations.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' clinical experience within the last 7 years, be licensed by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC), and possess excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing audits and providing expert advice on complex billing cases.
  • Collaborating with medical consultants, legal counsel, data analysts, and other stakeholders to guide important decisions.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of clinical best practices and regulations.
  • Communicating effectively with diverse groups and resolving conflicts.

Requirements:

  • MD or equivalent degree required.
  • At least 5 years' clinical experience within the last 7 years.
  • Licensed by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in government, medical administration, research, and data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of Indigenous communities, history, values, and cultural competencies.
